Welcome. This site has trail descriptions and pictures taken over the years on mountain hiking trails in the Southwestern and Okanagan regions British Columbia, Canada. These regions have a number of very scenic wilderness hiking trails ranging from easy to challenging.

Rough directions to the trails are provided. These directions may now be inaccurate and/or out of date and should be checked before travelling to these trails. Also check the best months to hike these trails. Some trails can be snowbound until late into the summer. Please review the Disclaimer. More detail on the trails, directions and preparation can be found in books on hiking in British Columbia, Canada or on the Internet. Have used 103 Hikes in Southwestern British Columbia by Jack Bryceland and Mary & David Macaree for many years and found it an excellent guide.

Note: This site is being updated periodically as more trails are added and updates on trail information come in.

These trails require reasonable physical fitness as there is usually considerable altitude gain and most take several hours to complete.

Warning. Weather conditions in the mountains can change very quickly, carry extra clothing and appropriate hiking gear. Be properly prepared as these are wilderness trails. It can be summer but at higher elevations there can still be deep snow. Let someone know where you are going and when you expect to be back.

Positioning the cursor on a picture will provide a short description of that picture. Clicking on a picture will bring up a full size view.
